The 2016 Toyota RAV4, on the other hand, gets a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 176 horsepower and 172 horsepower. Although it is slightly less powerful, the 2016 RAV4 averages 10.0 liters per 100 kilometers in the city, and 7.6 liters on the highway in front-wheel drive form. The all-wheel drive model averages 9.4 liters per 100 kilometers combined city/highway.

The 2016 CR-V is a little more fuel-efficient yet a little more powerful than the 2016 Toyota RAV4. When it comes to interior space, both compact SUVs are quite similar.
